Hey Lovlies, where has the time gone. This post is long over due. So after our amazing Cape Town Beauty Expo, I finally had some time to write this.
Beauty Swop turned 4 this year and after a lot of requests/threats/SOS smoke signals we had a beauty expo aimed at consumers, the first of its kind and the biggest to date in SA, where members could meet their online fam and it was also an opportunity for members to meet our authentic imported makeup sellers. Amazing sales were to be had, spot prizes given away (still bummed that I didn’t stand a chance to win that amazing organizer from The Beauty Box South Africa)
Peeps organising such a massive event is no easy feat…this just delayed the wedding plans for another 20 years😂 But it was sooooo worth it. Seeing the members react the same way they do in the group, excited to try and buy all the products on offer, ya’ll savage
We were competing with the opening of a major international store and still you guys showed your support and pulled through for us and for that we the admins, organisers, sponsors and vendors are eternally grateful😘
What we have learned: WE NEED A MASSIVE VENUE FOR ALL THE JUNKIES
The turnout exceeded everyones expectations, attendance was lit
With every expo we want to make it better and bigger. Our vision is to have it on IMATS level. Where different brands across SA come together and sell the products directly to consumers. Consumers will then get to play before they buy and also meet the faces behind the brands and interact with fellow makeup enthusiasts. We hope it encourages entrepreneurship specially amongst women, we would love to see the development of our very own SA indie brands.
Seeing as we are the biggest SA beauty group this benefits sellers cos they will have their target market all in one place and consumers/members will benefit as there will be a variety to choose from and compare pricing and quality to0. #winning
